Body Composition and Bone Density Measurement

Measuring Body Composition and Bone Density

All fat in the body is not the same. Fat stored within the abdominal cavity poses health risks not associated with fat elsewhere on the body. We use cutting edge technology and equipment to precisely measure lean muscle and fat mass so that we can make the best nutritional and lifestyle recommendations for our patients.

Measurement of bone density is important for all postmenopausal women, individuals with eating disorders, individuals who have difficulty absorbing nutrients or who have a history of chemotherapy or steroid use. If we discover suboptimal bone density, we tailor an active treatment program to address this important health consideration.
